1967 and 2011 – Nadia Hironaka and Matt Suib at Locks Gallery

My latest article which tackles topics of media, sincerity, the yin and yang of protest, and the inevitability of change.

Who still finds Chatroulette enormously intriguing? I know I’m not the only one. For me the fad phase died quickly, but it’s so much more than that. Essentially what you have is a platform by which you can randomly and anonymously meet people from all over the world. It’s pretty profound when you think about it in those terms. Here’s a collaborative artwork I made with a completely anonymous person. We had a pretty good discussion too. I left in the original text and my webcam shot for posterity.

Old poem is old (but not bad).

High-strung Social Maladjust

Hands holding
Cash holding
Value holding
Lives holding

Men and women
Holding hands, holding hands, holding hands, holding hands, holding…

Discrectionless glassy gazes
Burn holes into glassy glowing lights.
Which burn back

Emotion-deposits, for the over-stimulated

A necessity for more things:
Transparent and hard. Retaining nothing. Breaking easily under pressure.

As long as it holds attention for the span. So we need more than we need.

I can hear them saying, ‘If it stays too long, it’s dangerous’.
Glasstic and cellophass. My hands are better suited for skin.

Today my most recent article about Bleach at Jolie Laide was published. Out of the many things I’ve written recently, this is perhaps my favorite. Strong show, great content, lots of fun to write. Check it out!

GPOY at five years old as the dubious fifth member of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The “Totally Radical” part was clearly prophetic on multiple levels.

Every song I make is a chiptune because my name is Chip.

I’m working on a review right now for Paul DeMuro (pictured) and Alex Da Corte’s show “Bleach” at Jolie Laide. If you’re in Philadelphia any time soon, I highly recommend it.
